Enhancing Student Learning Report
October 1
The Enhancing Student Learning Reporting Order (the Order) requires boards of education to write an Enhancing Student Learning Report (the Report) and submit it to the Ministry between June 30 and September 30 each year. Due to the observance of Truth and Reconciliation Day on September 30, 2024, Report submissions will be accepted until October 1, 2024.
This year, each district will receive a pre-populated template which includes all data required by the Enhancing Student Learning Reporting Order (Reporting Order). All districts must use this template as part of the report creation process.
Instructions
- Complete the provided Section A: Pre-populated Data Template.
- Complete the rest of the report. District staff can use Section B: Reflective Questions as a template for the rest of the report and/or refer to it as a resource during preparation. As per the Reporting Order, Reports should be a maximum of 10 pages, not including Section A.
- (Optional) Use Section C: District Self-Assessment to further reflect on district processes. Section C can be kept internal or be submitted along with the Report to provide context for the Annual Review team. All Self-Assessments will be kept confidential.
- Append Section A: Pre-populated Data Template to the report, along with any relevant local data and analysis.
- Publish the Report to the district website. The Strategic Plan should also be published on the district website.
- For 2024, Reports can be submitted via the Enhancing Student Learning Report Submission Form accessed on the Enhancing Student Learning website or via email to EDUC.Framework@gov.bc.ca.
- If using email, email Educ.Framework@gov.bc.ca by October 1, 2024 with:
- PDF of the Enhancing Student Learning Report (with data appended)
- Link to the Enhancing Student Learning Report on the district website
- Link to the Strategic Plan on the district website
