Annual Facility Grant (AFG) Expenditure Plan
May 17, 2025
To comply with Treasury Board direction, each school district must annually provide the ministry with an Annual Facility Grant (AFG) project and spending plan prior to the allocation of AFG funding. Specifically, each school district’s plan will include a list of AFG projects and expenditures expected to be undertaken during the fiscal year (April 1 – March 31).
Instructions
1. See the Capital Programs for Kindergarten to Grade 12 web page for more information on AFG. The AFG Allocations table is available in the Annual Facility Grant section of the K-12 Capital Planning Resources web page. (Available in spring)
2. Submit the AFG Expenditure Plan to the ministry using the web-based Capital Asset Planning System (CAPS). Please refer to the Capital Plan Instructions for eligibility criteria and submission requirements.
