CMS Lite Training – Advanced – CLASS FULL

The objective of this course is to introduce content editors to the advanced features of the CMS Lite application used on the B.C. government website.  Participants must have completed the Basic course, or demonstrate a solid working knowledge of the basic fundamentals and web standards.

The majority of the course will be hands-on, instructor-led participation.  Participants will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to self-guided exercises throughout the day.

By the end of this course, participants will have a solid understanding of the following:

• Advanced images functionality
• Using page anchors
• Striping and aligning multiple tables
• Embedding videos, maps, Flickr
• Creating image maps, web accordions and grid layouts
• Tagging foreign language content
• Unpublishing versus reverting content to previous versions
• Bulk tagging content and assets
• Tag collections versus Metadata
• Managing future publish jobs
